About me

Starting therapy, whether for the first time or after a break, can feel daunting. At Herts Counselling, I offer a supportive and confidential space where we can explore what you are facing together. My integrative approach combines warmth with constructive challenge, believing that both are essential for meaningful progress. Above all, I see therapy as a place to remember that how you feel truly matters.

My journey to counselling

I was drawn to counselling because I’ve always believed that being truly heard can be transformative. What I enjoy most is the collaborative nature of the work; it’s a privilege to support someone as they navigate their challenges and to see them regain a sense of agency and hope in their lives.

My unique approach

My style is Integrative Relational, which means I view the relationship between myself and the client as the most important tool for growth. I blend different theories—for example, attachment theory, Transactional Analysis and Jung's ideas—depending on what the client needs in that moment. What makes this particularly helpful is that it's not a 'one size fits all' approach; it’s a high-trust, authentic partnership where we explore how their history impacts their present-day connections. This allows for deep relational healing rather than just surface-level coping strategies.

Who I can help

Clients often come to me feeling a sense of profound stuckness or isolation, even when their lives look 'fine' on the outside. They might be carrying heavy anxiety or a history of complicated relationships that they can't quite untangle alone. I feel I can help those the most who are looking for a deep, authentic connection. My approach is particularly powerful for individuals who feel 'unseen' or who struggle with attachment-related issues. Because I work relationally, I thrive with clients who are willing to use our therapeutic relationship as a safe space to practice being their true selves before taking that courage back out into the world. I work with adults, young people and children.

"The most important thing a client gains is a transformed relationship with themselves."

I am accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (subject to NCPS terms and conditions).
